New Coronavirus Information

The specialist Sexual health service are still available to all. We will continue to offer a self-referral service, however, our drop in and wait services are still suspended so please do not visit unless you have a pre-arranged appointment. In line with national guidance, we continue to limit face to face appointments to protect the public that use our services and the people who work in our team. However, the picture is changing and our services are expanding in line with government guidance. We are starting to re-introduce limited Coil and Implant appointment so please keep an eye on this website as our services gradually increase.

Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.45pm our telephone and video link assessment service is in operation from our sexual health hubs in Station Plaza Hastings and Avenue House Eastbourne where you will speak to a trained clinician who will triage your needs and make a face to face appointment with you if necessary.

Please be assured that if you need to be seen we will arrange for you to come into one of our clinics.  If you attend our clinics you will be asked to wear facial covering. Uckfield, Hailsham and St Leonard’s sessions remain closed. If you would have used these services then please call the hubs and we will assess the best way to meet your sexual health need.

We would like to remind patients accessing the sexual health services that if you have a new continuous cough OR high temperature (37.8 degrees or higher) OR a loss of smell or taste (Anosmia), you should self-isolate and stay at home for 7 days.  You can find out more information about Coronavirus through this link - Covid-19 Government Guidance

Station Plaza, Hastings: Monday and Tuesday 08:30 to 19:10, Wednesday 13:00 to 15:10, Thursday 08:30 to 17:10 and Friday 08:30 to 17:10.

Specialist sexual health services offer the complete range of contraceptive, sexual health and HIV services and will see anyone. It is confidential and your details are not included in main GP or hospital records without your permission.

There are 2 Main centres that can offer all the services – Avenue House Eastbourne and Station Plaza Hastings. These services are open Monday to Saturday. Our other services are outreach services and offer a variety of services at different times of the week.

All our services offer:

  • Drop in and appointment sessions for assessment, testing, diagnosis and treatment of all sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and genital conditions
  • HIV testing and treatment
  • A Full Contraceptive Services is available to any woman of any age from the South east counties with the exception of visitors from some inner London areas. Emergency Hormonal Contraception and start up contraception is available to all.
  • Contraceptive pills, implants and coils are on offer in Avenue House Eastbourne and Station Plaza Hastings but can also be on offer in some of our outreach services
  • Pregnancy testing
  • Emergency contraception
  • Condoms and CCard
  • Screening and vaccination for those at sexual risk of Hepatitis A and B
  • Sexual dysfunction counselling services

Limited appointments can be booked either by using  the phone line or you can book online.  Limited bookable appointments are available at 8:20am Monday to Friday. Limited Saturday bookable appointments are available on Friday at 8.20am.
