Patient pathways for specialist sexual health

Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust provides a comprehensive Level 3 Sexual Health Service.  We are here to both provide services direct to self-referring members of the public as well as to provide specialist support and referral to Local GPs, hospital  and other healthcare professionals.

From 5.1.26 the Psychosexual therapy service will be taking on new referrals.

Please be aware that all referrals will need to be on the attached referral form from a recognised clinical individual or organisation, no self-referrals will be accepted.

The criteria for referrals is –

  • Pain during sex
  • Arousal/orgasm disorders
  • Erectile issues
  • Low sexual desire

Each referral with be triaged and if appropriate, we will then offer an assessment appointment for the patient.

We will be offering limited number of sessions to individuals and couples as deemed appropriate by the therapist. All our psychosexual therapists are COSRT registered and/or accredited.
