How is it passed on?
It can be spread through vaginal, anal or oral sex. Chlamydia can also be passed from a pregnant woman to her baby.
What are the symptoms?
Up to 80% of women and 50% of men will not have any symptoms therefore it is really important that if you are sexually active you are checked regularly. If symptoms do occur in women they may include abnormal bleeding, pain during sex and abdominal pain. How do I know if I have the infection?
The only way to be sure is to have a test.
What is the test?
A Chlamydia test is a simple test that you can do yourself; there is no need to be examined or to see a doctor. Men need to provide a urine sample, women take a vaginal swab.
Where can I get the test?

How long will the result take?

What happens if the test is positive?
